“As I begin my new journey with art in college, I would like to improve my artistic skills more and learn more about how to market my art. As a mainly self-taught artist, there are many skills and art concepts I have come to know about but not fully understand; therefore, I think it would be very beneficial to have some classes that go more in depth about how to master different art characteristics such as: value, perspective, shape, color, amongst other things… I hope that as I attend College, I have more opportunities to showcase my art while continuing to improve my skills. Additionally, I would like to take some marking classes or workshops during college so that I increase the probabilities of being a fulltime artist. I have heard from may experience artist around me that one of the most important skills they wish they knew sooner was how to market themselves; therefore, because I’m trying my best to succeed as an artist, I would like to learn more about marketing as well.”
