“Art has always been a massive part of my life. I remember drawing on the desks and in random self-help books that I found laying around in the house. I always found myself creating a whole different world using my imagination. Even as a child I strived for the best from my work. Art has helped me in the healing process of myself. When I paint or draw something, only I know it’s true meaning. Creating art has allowed me to introduce people to my world in different ways. My ultimate goal was for people to be in tune with what I put out there. One of my personal goals is to develop practical and creative skills and gain valuable experience of entering exhibitions, competitions and building up my portfolio of work. My goal is to become a designer and create my own path.
I participated in art showcases, slowly showing off what I could do. Progressively, I have gotten better and better and won prizes for my pieces. In the fall of 2019, one of my best pieces at the time was showcased in the Tampa Museum of Art. Those accomplishments have motivated me to keep pushing forward. Those accomplishments have motivated me to keep pushing forward with my art. Over the years, I see my art style change into something that I am more proud of. Creating illustrations is what allowed me to be eccentric. While being in college and high school I was apart of the Art and Humanities Club at Valencia College, the Art Magnet at my high school, and the National Art Honor Society. Being apart of these groups have allowed me to explore different mediums and techniques. The value of education is something that I have understood since a very young age.”
