Adrienne Krozack is earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration and fine arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She plans on going on to earn her Masters of Fine Arts degree in illustration and fine arts. Her goal is to become a professional children’s book author and illustrator, and use her artistic skills to inspire a new generation of readers.
I have worked as a volunteer intern at a variety of nonprofit organizations and witnessed, firsthand, the positive impact that art can have on a community. I worked as an editorial illustration intern with Lucky Jefferson Literary Journal, which works to empower the voices of diverse writers and artists, as well as make the publishing industry more inclusive. I then worked a
s an art intern for Art With a Heart, where I served as an assistant art teacher to K-8th grade students in inner city Baltimore and provided them with the curriculum, resources, and materials they needed in order to successfully attend online school from home as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. I presently work as a graphic designer and illustration intern for Fluence, which is a podcast and media brand that works to educate the public on women’s issues, historic female achievements, and promote gender equality.
I am dedicated to earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration and fine arts because I am passionate about visual storytelling and its unique ability to spark change and inspire people to perceive the world as a more hopeful and beautiful place. After earning my B.F.A. degree, I will launch my career as a freelance illustrator for children’s books. I will write and illustrate children’s books with themes of ingenuity, diversity, inclusion, and creativity.
